When I checked my mail today a huge smile came to my face. Inside my mail box was the Catholic Spirit, and on the front cover was a picture of the five men who will be ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis on Saturday. The “new priest” issue of the Catholic Spirit is by far my favorite of the year, and I enjoy reading about the new priests. I remember doing this even when I was in high school and thinking wouldn’t it be cool to be in that issue some day. I encourage all of you to take a look at the Catholic Spirit and read about the newly ordained priests, and here is a link to their website.
Today is also the one year anniversary of me learning that I was coming to Epiphany. I remember sitting with the Archbishop at lunch and hoping that he was going to send me to Epiphany, and sure enough here I am! It has been a great year, with many firsts. It also has been a year that has flown by; I can’t believe that this Sunday will be my one year anniversary of being ordained a priest. As a way to celebrate our anniversary, all of my classmates will be coming to Epiphany on Sunday night for Mass at 5:30 and a little get together afterwards, which will be a great time. A special thanks to all of you for all of the prayers, I know that they are working, so please keep praying. Also, continue to pray for all priests, especially the ones who will be ordained this year, so that they too can have a great first year as a priest.

Even after a year, it is still hard to be so far away from you all. Not sure, but i may be comming through MN. around the first week of July. I will stay in touch. God Bless brother!
